We stayed last weekend for 3 nights for my partners 40th birthday celebrations. So glad I chose the Portobay Marques. The staff were excellent, the breakfast was lovely too. Pastries, bread, eggs, bacon and juices to name some of whay was on offer. We had a junior suite and the bed was probably the best I've ever slept in. It was huge and so comfy! The whole hotel was clean and had an inviting feel. In our opinion the location is perfect too, on a quiet side street just off the main road which was tree lined, dotted with coffee huts and had all the designer shops too. It was a lovely walk down this to the main attractions and the water! Would definitely book a portobay on our next trip to Portugal!

Just returned home following a 3 night stay with my daughter and so glad that we chose this hotel . The location was perfect in a quiet and safe area with a lovely 20 min walk into the centre . Close to public transport and on the right side of the city to get to the airport. Our room was enormous , clean and quiet with the most comfortable bed . Lovely breakfasts and the most helpful reception staff who go out of their way to help. Thank you to Joanna and to all the other staff whose names I didn’t get but were so helpful .

This was the first time we had stayed in Lisbon but we have used Porto Bay hotels in Madeira. This hotel did not dissapoint! It was ver comfortable and the staff were delightful and very helpful.

A lovely hotel in a great location within easy walking distance from many attractions. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfasts were very good and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Would highly recommend it.

Lovely welcome upon arrival. Slight confusion as the receptionist asked if I'd stayed there before and I thought she meant THAT particular hotel so I said No but later realised she meant had I stayed at any PortoBay hotels which I had. I only realised this when other family members had a free drink whereas we didn't. Initially I was quite disappointed with the room as very dark and dingy and the ceiling was low - this was an upgrade! Not much room to move around but the bathroom was excellent. I know in City Centres the rooms tend to be smaller but with the right lighting and lighter carpet it would make a huge difference. No view of anything but a wall which doesn't help light coming in but at an extra cost you can get a street view but family members said their street room view was noisy whereas ours was very quiet. On city breaks I'm not bothered about views as we are hardly in the room but not keen on it being so drab but we got used to it. The photos on here do not represent the room we had. Having said that all other aspects of this hotel we thoroughly enjoyed. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant which surprisingly was very reasonable priced, the same as eating out, the reception/bar area was nice to relax in upon our return and the actual location was ideal for our planned itinery.
